Cleaning

Ultrasonic Bath

• Do not completely immerse in organic solvent, as this may attack some of the material
• Wipe the plunger
• Use non-fibre shedding cloth
• Hold it by the handle

Flushing

• Use acetone or methanol
• Leave no fluid in the needle after flushing
• Dry with vacuum using a higher volume syringe or avacuum pump
• Use cleaning wire supplied for all syringes with a smallinner diameter (wide selection is alsoavailable)
• N-series require regular flushing to prevent plunger from getting stuck
• Upgraded A-series is resistant to getting stuck thanks to a top end seal and better plungermovement, ensuring long lifetime
• Insert plunger ONLY when completely dry
• Do not move the plunger unnecessarily while dry
• Store the plunger and glass barrel separately and connect only when required for use

Temperature Range and Autoclaving syringes

Standard Temperature for syringes is -40C to 150C. Limits for higher temperatures:

150C for max 15 minutes

120C for max 30 minutes

110C for max 60 minutes

For higher temperatures we will provide special syringes with HT-glue, which is compatible up to 225C continuous or 325C intermittent.

All syringes with a removable needle can be autoclaved (remove the plunger first).

Never autoclave syringes with fixed needles because they will crack due to thermal expansion.

Damage control

Check the needle tip for damages, prevent septa damage, sample contamination and clogging of the needle. Mount and adjust the plunger carefully.
